One Vision Housing is a newly created, registered social landlord which owns and manages 11,300 homes in the borough of Sefton. It is a registered charity.

Challenge

After a consultation period and a tenants’ vote in 2006, housing stock began to be transferred from Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council to the newly formed One Vision Housing (OVH) charity. After successfully winning a four-way tender process, we were commissioned to design, build and maintain a website for OVH with content management access and full compliance with stringent accessibility standards.

Solution

We designed, built and project managed a fully functioning content-managed website using the bespoke Forepoint Content Management System. It allows OVH to update the content in a way that is as easy as editing a Word document. The site complies with W3C guidelines and is Bobby approved. Due to its broad user base we provided a site that is accessible on all levels, can be read via screen readers, has adjustable font sizes (including at the CMS interface) and provides a high contrast version. The website is in phase 2 of a long-term project which is proving to be a vital channel for OVH to communicate efficiently with all stakeholders.
